Flexible LED Solutions

The technology that powers LEDs has come a long way in recent years, with billions of dollars being invested in making them more affordable, more energy-efficient and more versatile. They are available in a wide range of colour temperatures, brightness levels and colours to suit the functional and aesthetic requirements of individual users.

Alongside track lights, downlights, spotlights and lightboxes, LEDs can also be used to create ultra-flexible light strips. These are manufactured by fixing individual LED components onto rolls of tape that can then be mounted directly yet discreetly onto a wide range of suitable surfaces.

LED tape is ideal for creating discreet under-shelf lighting

LED strip lights, also known as LED tape, are ideal for use in retail spaces, offices, hospitality venues, educational establishments and more, being quick and easy to install into even the smallest of areas.

What’s more, the tape itself is safe to touch even when turned on, thanks to the fact that LEDs emit very little heat energy as a by-product. This makes it a perfect option for busier environments such as stores and restaurants as there is no risk of customers injuring themselves by touching the lights accidentally.

As with all other LED-based lighting systems, one of the main selling points of LED tape is its energy efficiency. LED strip lights consume significantly less energy than other light sources meaning that they are a much more environmentally friendly and cost-effective option.

LED tape can be used to create custom logos and messages

LEDs are also proven to have considerably longer lifespans than other light sources, namely incandescent and halogen bulbs. This is due to the fact that there is usually more effective heat management methods inside LED components than there is in traditional bulbs which means that the diodes themselves don’t degrade as quickly. With longer lifespans, LEDs are not only more reliable but also require less maintenance, fewer replacements and lower investment levels in the long term.

LED tape can be engineered using diodes that are tested to emit light at specific colour temperatures and brightness levels along with functional enhancements such as dimmer controls and colour-changing capabilities.
