LED Lightboxes
A lightbox is an aluminium frame with integrated LED lighting, paired with a light-diffusing panel or fabric face. It is designed to distribute light evenly across the surface, providing vibrant, uniform illumination without hotspots or shadows. Lightboxes can be single or double-sided and can be wall-mounted, freestanding, or suspended, making them suitable for a wide range of applications and environments. As the UK’s leading manufacturer of LED lightboxes, we have extensive technical capabilities and production facilities, allowing us to deliver projects of any scale. Our standard specification Lightboxes can be fully customised in size, shape, brightness, colour temperature, finishes, mounting methods, ensuring a tailored solution for every project.

Ceiling Lightboxes
A ceiling lightbox is a lighting fixture designed to integrate into or be mounted onto ceiling structures, providing uniform illumination across interior spaces. Ceiling lightboxes can be used as primary luminaires or as decorative lighting elements, making them suitable for retail, hospitality, commercial and architectural environments.
The system offers a wide range of customisation options, including bespoke sizes and shapes, integrated maintenance access hatches, multiple suspension or fixing methods and finishes tailored to individual project requirements. Advanced lighting options are supported, including full dimming, high colour-rendering LEDs, tuneable or colour-changing outputs, DALI compatibility and PIR sensors. All ceiling lightboxes incorporate fire-retardant backing panels as standard.

Fabric Faced Lightboxes
Fabric faced lightboxes combine slim aluminium frames with tensioned fabric graphics to create clean, evenly illuminated displays. Each lightbox can be configured in a range of sizes, shapes, illumination options and mounting methods to suit specific project requirements.
Modular frame sections allow for straightforward on-site assembly, while fabric graphics can be easily replaced to support updated branding or seasonal campaigns. Engineered using tested components and environmentally responsible materials, this system is supplied as Ledge, Unibox’s fabric faced lightbox solution.

Non-Fabric Faced Lightboxes
Non-fabric faced lightboxes are designed for ultra-slim illuminated displays using rigid graphic panels. Laser-etched light-guide plates (LGPs) ensure even illumination across the graphic surface, while magnetic PETG lenses or slide-in panels allow for quick and simple graphic changes.
The system can be engineered for a range of applications, including wall-mounted signage, ceiling-hung installations and double-sided displays. This lightbox format is supplied as Flux, Unibox’s non-fabric faced lightbox system.
All our standard non-fabric faced lightboxes have voltages of 24 V. These lightboxes range from 18 mm to 65mm frame depth, and support minimum size 0.35 m × 0.35 m up to approximately 2 m × 1 m.

Animated Lightboxes
Animated lightboxes introduce motion and dynamic lighting effects into illuminated display systems. Constructed using modular aluminium frames with tensioned fabric faces, this format combines LED technology with controlled animation to create displays that move beyond static illumination.
The system supports both single-colour white and full-colour RGB lighting, enabling smooth motion effects, gradients and dynamic back-lighting. Designed for large-scale assembly and straightforward configuration, animated lightboxes allow content to be updated via USB or network connection. This system is supplied as Kinetik, Unibox’s animated lightbox solution.

Flat Pack Lightboxes
Flat pack lightboxes are designed to be assembled, disassembled and transported easily, providing a practical and reusable solution for illuminated graphic displays. Constructed from lightweight aluminium frames with changeable fabric graphics, the system allows visuals to be updated quickly to support seasonal campaigns or brand refreshes.
Available in a range of sizes, flat pack lightboxes support freestanding, ceiling-hung and, at greater depths, double-sided illuminated configurations. While certain formats exclude PCB or LGP lighting, the system is engineered to accommodate flexible LED integration and optional Magnetik connectivity. Designed with modularity and reusability in mind, this format is well suited to projects where adaptability, transport efficiency and repeat use are key considerations. Flat pack lightboxes come in a range of 67mm-110 mm deep profile . Overall size ranges from 0.35 m × 0.35 m up to 2 m × 2 m, and power options include 12 V or 24 V systems.

Frequently asked questions
We support a wide range of projects across diverse environments, including retail, hospitality, commercial, architectural, and exhibition spaces. Our products are inherently versatile and can be readily adapted to suit different spaces, specifications, and design requirements. From bespoke lighting features and aluminium profile systems to large-scale display system roll-outs, our team is experienced in delivering solutions at varying scales and levels of complexity.
We typically work from concepts developed by brands, architects, or design agencies. Our role is to engineer and manufacture those ideas into practical, buildable, and cost-effective solutions. By managing the technical design development and production process in-house, we ensure efficiency, consistency, and a final outcome that stays true to the original vision.
Where required, we can develop prototypes or samples to validate performance, materials, and buildability before full production begins. This process helps identify potential challenges early, reduces risk, and provides confidence that the final solution will meet both technical and visual expectations.
Yes. Every project is supported by a dedicated account manager who provides consistent communication and coordination from initial discussion through to final delivery. This ensures clarity at every stage and a single, reliable point of contact throughout the project lifecycle.
Yes, we work both across the UK and internationally.
We support projects worldwide, partnering with brands, design agencies, and architects across a diverse range of locations. Our team is highly experienced in managing international logistics, production, and delivery, ensuring every project runs seamlessly regardless of geography.
For European imports, we’re fully set up with VAT registrations in both France and the Netherlands, allowing us to clear goods into Europe on a DDP basis with ease.
To get started, we typically need an outline of your concept, project goals, location, timeline, and any drawings or references you may have. The more information you can share, and the earlier you engage with us, the better we can guide feasibility, cost, and delivery. Wherever you are in the process, our team is here to help shape the most practical path forward. However, whatever stage your project is at, our team is happy to step in and help shape the most practical path forward.
