Working alongside the George Store Design team at Asda, Unibox developed and manufactured a wide range of illuminated retail fixtures for the Trafford Park flagship store. The project brought together decorative lighting, integrated merchandising displays and illuminated signage to create a more engaging shopping experience across departments including Clothing, Home, Toys, Baby and Cards & Party. Many of the concepts developed here went on to influence wider store roll-outs across the George estate.

Halo Lighting & Neonist Signage

This gallery showcases the feature lighting that helps define each department’s identity. From Diametro halo pendants suspended above key retail zones to Neonist illuminated signage, these elements create visual landmarks that guide customers through the store while reinforcing the George brand. Featured departments include Baby, Home, Clothing, Lingerie and Cards & Party.

Integrated Display Lighting

Designed to work seamlessly with the retail fixtures, Unibox’s Konnekt power delivery system provides discreet power to illuminated shelving and display features without exposed cabling. Integrated shelf lighting and slimline lightboxes highlight products throughout Home, Toys, Home Fragrance and Cards & Party, combining practical merchandising with clean, architectural detailing.

Department Feature Lightboxes

Large-format illuminated lightboxes were integrated throughout the fashion departments to create bold visual destinations and strengthen departmental branding. Installed across Denim, Clothing and Lingerie, the lightboxes provide consistent illumination and high-impact graphics that help define each retail space while maintaining a cohesive look throughout the store.
