Therapeutic Lighting for Awakn Clinic
Unibox partners with Onefine_Day to engineer custom halo ceiling lightboxes for the therapy rooms at Awakn Clinic.
Medical research company, Awakn Life Sciences, wanted to transform the look and feel of its treatment clinics by creating therapeutic environments that would support the well-being of patients and practitioners alike. Awakn asked for an evidence-based environmental design that focused on client comfort and would provide the right context for effective treatment. Our team followed a brief for a space that was private without being claustrophobic, minimalist without being clinical, and effortless without being underwhelming.
To engineer a solution that would deliver each element of Onefine_Day’s creative vision, we customised existing technologies in new and unusual ways. Our product developers and lighting engineers worked to build an edge-lit, fabric-faced lightbox that, when suspended from the ceilings of the clinics, would look like floating halos of light. Each lightbox was built using LED components that emit 150-200 lux to ensure that the atmosphere inside the treatment rooms would be relaxing and comforting at all times.
The therapy room lighting solution and ceiling is a fundamental part of delivering the set and setting for the psychedelic experience and enabling a meaningful outcome for Awakn clients. The lightboxes look fantastic, thanks!
