Illuminated Feature Basin
For Bacchanalia Restaurant

Unibox created a bespoke illuminated basin for high-end Greek and Mediterranean restaurant Bacchanalia, in London’s Mayfair.

The new restaurant features extravagant décor, including marble statues and gold accents. The brief was to create a bathroom that would extend this luxurious environment from the main dining area, throughout the rest of the venue.

Bacchanalia has been awarded both the Best Designed Restaurant of the Year and New Concept of the Year at the Casual Dining Awards 2023.

In partnership with client Caprice Holdings, Unibox developed a solution using LED light panels to fit the theme of escapism. The women’s bathroom tells the story of the Garden of Hesperides, the orchard of Greek god Hera where immortality-giving golden apples grew, with 400,000 mosaic tiles surrounding a circular basin which glows with orange lights. The Unibox team produced the marble illuminated basin, to create a striking focal point within the restaurant’s bathroom.

Photos of the impressive bathroom have been shared by the public world-wide via social media, and it has been celebrated as one of the main reasons to visit the restaurant.
