GAME Display Case Roll-out
LED showcases and window displays for GAME
GAME call on Unibox for a nationwide rollout of window displays and custom showcase solutions for its consoles, gaming accessories and high-value pre-owned items, including developing a solution for a brand new concept store at Manchester’s Trafford Centre.
A fresh challenge for GAME and Unibox, this project required a solution that not only maximised exposure to the new store, with large, freestanding displays but also necessitated integrated feature cabinets with in-built security to hold high-value items.
The services we offer, such as custom cutting and LED lighting, as well as our large factory base here in the UK, meant that Unibox was the perfect partner for GAME, who needed a fast turnaround time and expert manufacturing skills.
Using our in-house joinery facilities we created a space at the top of the display for smaller items such as cameras and phones, and a larger space at the bottom for consoles and tablets.
After providing initial design intent & visualisations based on the brief given by the GAME team, Unibox went on to utilise custom cutting capabilities, in-house koinery expertise, integrated LED lighting solutions and powder-coated profile finishing, for the ideal brand display unit.
Showcases were created using a 32mm aluminium profile, which provided a distinct designer framework, and which, when combined with a powder coated finish, produced a clearly visible store area for consoles and electronics.
However, with a broad range of products being sold in store, the showcases and cabinets also needed to accommodate different sizes of products – including, not only the wide range of new products sold by the retailer – but also items from its pre-owned section.
All showcases included LED lighting built into the top of the units and powder coated aluminum profiles.
Wall-mounted cabinets were also created using a powder coated profile, specially chosen to accent the fixed merchandising panels. These were combined with LED linear lights mounted within the cabinets themselves.
The new concept store was unveiled at an exclusive VIP opening and was an incredible success. The first-night figures smashed all targets, leaving Northern Division Project & Facilities Manager Jason Findler absolutely delighted following the results of the launch.
